So I went home early from school today. I told the nurse I was feeling nauseous and dizzy (the two symptoms that they always send you home on). I did feel nauseous and dizzy but it was more because of what was going on at school, not an illness. Well the eleventh grade were dissecting cats today and everyone was crowded around the lab room doors watching and laughing. I was disgusted and appalled by this; those poor cats! I mean who are we to laugh at the pain they had to have gone through before there deaths? It was nothing to laugh at in my opinion so I started to sob silently; I've mastered the art of quite sobbing quite well so no one noticed in class besides Caroline; one of my friends. Straight after our physics teacher had taught us our lesson and given us our homework I left class (there was 15 minutes left before English). So then I went to the nurse and waited until my mom came to pick me up. She was horrified as the last biology class had started to carry out there dissected cats to the dump and everyone was smiling and laughing. I think she understood why I had to leave school.

Oh man that sucks!!! I would never ever dissect a cat. I love cats. Ive dissected a possum before with no problem but cats are a whole diffrent story! I mean i have pet cats! I feel for you!
I'm sorry hat it upset you. I have done al lot of dissections of a multitude of animal- even a horse, and I know that a great deal of care goes into the animals not suffering, and been put down humanely if that helps at all.
