Long Time No Post?

Yup not proud to say so but I haven't posted in a long time. Sorry! I've not been following my goal of one post per day. Well anyhow here goes the over view of the past few days for me. I just resently started to really work on advanced flat work. I discussed with my trainer this as I want to be a really good equitation rider. It's been a challenge for me and I'm definitely more sore then I have ever been. It's very frustrating for me, not being able to do advanced flat work perfectly but as the guy from a clinic I went to once said... "on a good day you might be able to control 70% of yourself and 50% of your horse." so I'm living by that right now and I think right now that I have around 50% control of myself and 20% control of my horses. I'm getting there though. Slowly but surely. Well that's it for now.

In a small way, I can see where you're coming from in your frusterations about moving forward in your riding. I've recently been learning how to ride a finished western pleasure horse in a curb bit to show standards, and it's something I've never done before... watching the western pleasure classes from the stands, I would have never imagined riding western could be so challenging! But I'm getting there slowly, and I'm sure you'll do the same in your field.
Best of luck!
